At the age of eighteen, he took the name of Romeo and Juliet’s best friend from the play, which he had learned about from Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation. Sean’s clips are already well-referenced and polished. His distinct voice, the eerie timbre of his rap, and his tortured and violent words are already hallmarks of these five recordings. With À Moitié Loup, an album that more closely adheres to the beat of his generation, as demonstrated by its collaboration with Azuul Smith, Sean reveals a different side of himself a year later. It is more street and cloud rap. The studio where he works is broken into, looted, and the computers with his most recent tracks are taken as he gets ready to reveal the sequel. In 2020, the rapper will release MP3 + Wav after recovering more quickly than anticipated. Rester Prince, with its enormous cover, was his follow-up in 2022. In order to prepare his new mixtape, “Où est passé Zeudog?” the rapper from the twentieth arrondissement of Paris cut himself off from the world after four highly acclaimed EPs with sophisticated clips. “This project,” he says, “is a year and a half of work, research, and also tests to find consistency in my words.” And there was no room for chance. The aspirations of the young artist? “French singer like Daft Punk” is a tribute to all the tutelary figures of the French Touch in the broadest sense of the word, with a sound that oscillates between rap, electro, and pop and is sold outside of France.
